The Lab’s 2024 class was featured in the March edition of ImpactAlpha Latin America, a specialized monthly newsletter that covers news, voices, and dealmaking powering the impact economy in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).
SPV for Silvopasture Scaling and Regenera Ventures Fund from the inaugural LAC program were featured alongside the Brazil program’s two instruments, Amazon Food&Forest Financing Initiative and Growth Next-Generation Agriculture (GAN). The full article also highlights the other six instruments rounding out the record-setting 2024 class: Clean Utilities for Affordable Housing, InvestHER Climate Resilience Bond, Model Forests and Biodiversity Bond, Resilient Municipal Market Fund (ReMark), Sustana Cooling Impact Fund, and The Landbanking Group.
“The rationale for our broader focus in Latin America is that it’s a huge engine of economic growth, and it’s also very much at risk of food scarcity and other climate challenges.” said Ben Broché who leads the Lab’s efforts “Few have gotten Lab support, so we’re choosing to build a Lab community to make sure that local teams are making decisions about how capital is deployed in the region.”
