Vice President, Center for Sustainable Finance, Deutsche Asset Management
Murray joined Deutsche Bank in 2011. He undertakes research and ESG integration work as part of Deutsche Asset Management’s Center for Sustainable Finance, which is part of the Chief Investment Office. Prior to his current role, Murray supported former Vice Chairman Caio Koch-Weser in the area of climate finance and implementing the Bank’s climate change business strategy. Before that, he worked with companies to develop consensus policy positions, published papers and lobbied UK and European governments on energy and climate change policies at the Confederation of British Industry. Murray began his career in consulting, policy research and program support for energy efficiency, renewable energy and carbon markets in Alberta, Canada.
He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Calgary, an MSc in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford and he holds an Investment Management Certificate (IMC)
