Special Advisor, Danish Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Climate
Mr. Eriksen is Special Advisor at the Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Climate working at its international division on climate finance, energy efficiency/SE4All and fossil fuel subsidies. Before Mr. Eriksen was director at the Copenhagen Office of the Global Green Growth Institute focusing on public-private cooperation. Before he worked for the Danish Ministry of Climate and Energy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he was based in Washington, DC as Climate Counselor to promote climate change policies and analyze policy developments in the United States. Before that, Mr. Eriksen worked ten years at the Ministry of Environment where he held several positions and performed a number of duties, such as working on international project development and technology transfer in the fields of waste management, transport, natural resource management, and water. In addition, he was the Chief Program Manager in developing DanishCarbon.dk, a project based tendering program in the field of environmental protection with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Central and Eastern Europe. Mr. Eriksen holds a MSc. degree in civil engineering and an advanced degree in business administration.
